Learning When and Where You Need It

About Me

Hi, my name is Rhonda and I am a Talent Development professional with experience in the learning sciences, training and facilitation, assessment, and Instructional Design, with User Experience tendencies!

A true lifelong learner, with an Associates degree in Information Systems Technology, Bachelor’s in Psychology, and Masters in Instructional Design. Basically, I LOVE the art and science of learning using technology as the medium 😊

Thankfully, in my role as VP of Technology for my local ATD Greater Atlanta chapter, I was able to use my love of learning and technology EVERYDAY to serve my counterparts on the Executive leadership Board, as well the awesome team comprising my Technology Committee! Now as the Technology Project Manager for the chapter, I get to showcase and explore a whole new set of skills!

As a former Trainer and Adult Education Instructor, turned Instructional Designer, my strengths of Learner, Achiever, Relator, Individualization, and Intellection allow me to take all the wonderful knowledge I have acquired over the years and find unique ways to share it with others, in a way that meets my learner at their level of need. Using best practices of Adult Learning principles, combined with techniques that appeal to all learning styles, I create learning experiences that are engaging and interactive.

My Superpower is taking complex information and converting it into simple, relatable pieces.

Although I can totally geek out about a topic I’m passionate about because of my High-C DiSC personality, I do my best to convey to my clients and SMEs the information that is necessary for them to understand what needs to be accomplished and how I can solve the problem.

A background in assessments and psychology allows me to have a deeper understanding of human behavior, especially when it comes to solving performance gaps and determining the best course of action to share information. I don’t do boring, because learning should be fun! After all, while many people don’t like change, we all get just a little excited about experiencing the “New” right? So, that’s my approach to creating learning solutions, “Get people excited about learning, hopefully they will enjoy it, and it will stick!”
